Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

What can I expect in my first session?
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about your background, what brought you to therapy, and what goals you have. It’s a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy is for anyone who wants support, guidance, or personal growth. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, or just feeling stuck, therapy can help you gain clarity and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges.

Do you offer virtual therapy?
Yes! I offer online therapy for individuals and couples throughout Texas. Virtual sessions are held through a secure video platform, making it easy to get the support you need from the comfort of your home.

Services & Specialties

What types of therapy do you offer?
I specialize in:

  • Individual therapy for anxiety, self-esteem, and trauma recovery

  • Couples therapy for communication, intimacy, and infidelity recovery

  • EMDR therapy for PTSD and past trauma

  • Betrayal trauma and infidelity recovery (APSATS-trained)

What is EMDR therapy, and how does it work?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy approach that helps people process distressing memories and trauma. It uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess traumatic experiences, reducing their emotional intensity.

How does couples therapy work?
Couples therapy is a space for both partners to express their needs, improve communication, and strengthen their connection. I use the Gottman Method and other research-backed approaches to help couples navigate conflict, rebuild trust, and foster emotional and physical intimacy.

What are your rates?
I offer 50-minute therapy sessions at $150 for individuals and couples. I also have limited reduced-rate sessions. If you have questions about rates or payment options, feel free to reach out.

Do you accept insurance?
I am currently private pay only but I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage.

Other Questions

How long does therapy take?
The length of therapy depends on your goals and needs. Some clients find short-term therapy helpful for specific issues, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll discuss what works best for you.
